Tournaments, Brackets, and Ladders, Oh My!

Greetings, Soldiers.

In order to spice up the goings on at Laningrad, I, Gunther, have devised a plan.

Part One of my devious plan is to hold a SupCom tournament!

1 v 1 Double Elimination Tournament
This means that you're allowed a single loss.  Your second loss eliminates you from the tournament.
It also means that with the projected 16 Laningrad5 attendees, there will be 30 games in five rounds, spread over two days.

RULES
GAME: Assassination.
MAPS: Different 1v1 map per round, TBA.
CRASHING: Early game crashes are to be tolerated. If a late game crash occurs, then restart the game only if your opponent agrees. Regular crashes may result in disqualification, if it is one persons fault.

PRIZES
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place get's one of the following (players choice): a free stubby (or equivilent), 700ml Ice Break, or 1.25 litre drink.

1st place wins a free pizza!

Additionally, the results of the tournament will be used to seed the Laningrad SupCom ladder.  If you feel you deserve extra kudos and internets, and were not happy with your tournament performance, then challenge others for great battle!
Part 2 of my devious plan is to manage Challenge Ladders for all strategy games played at Laningrad! (Shooters don't work, because of game sizes).

To enter a ladder, come and visit me with your opponent (teammates if you want to enter a team ladder).  You and your opponent can face off, and I'll add you to the ladder.

After your ladder debut, you can challenge people above you on the ladder.  If they accept, and you defeat them, then you and your oppenent exchange places on the ladder.  You can only challenge people are are 1 or 2 slots above you, and you can only be challenged by people that are 1 or 2 slots below you.  Obviously, that means that the bottom player cannot be challenged, and the top player cannot challenge another player.

You cannot play against the same person twice in a row.

Game rules will depend upon the game being played.

PRIZES: The player with the best ladder ranking at the end of laningrad gets kudos and internets.
So man up, Soldiers of Laningrad, and prepare for glory! And pizza! And Kudos!
